KTI Seminar: Csercsik Dávid – Application of control theoretic methods for fair resource allocation in capacity-constrained networks with storage for multi-period problems.

The lecture will take place in a hybrid format via zoom interface and in person in the seminar room T 4.23 CTI on 15.02.2024, from 11.00.

Presenter: Csercsik Dávid

Title: Application of control theoretic methods for fair resource allocation in capacity-constrained networks with storage for multi-period problems.

Abstract:

In the autumn of 2022, European countries are facing the future of energy, including gas supply, with considerable uncertainty.
In the end, the situation did not become critical, but the crisis has led to a number of concepts on how to move from decentralised, nationally coordinated procurement to more highly coordinated mechanisms – the implementation of the Aggregate EU mechanism is one example of the result of this initiative.
In this presentation, we will explore how a possible notional fully centralised gas procurement, storage and distribution problem can be described in a simple model using cooperative game theory tools, which aspects of this model can be interpreted and generalised for realistic problems, and how control theory can be applied to solve the model introduced.
